Explore the Firth of Clyde on a Beneteau 45
Clyde Islands Holiday Cruises
Our Clyde Islands Holiday Cruises start on Sunday evening and finish late Saturday afternoon, which gives our guests 6 nights and 6 full days of sailing.
The beauty of a week’s holiday cruising in the Clyde is that we can plan our route to make the most of the conditions.
Breaking our trip into lots of short legs to explore the amazing coastline in sheltered waters, even if it’s windy.
We are offering two weeks of our Clyde Islands Holiday Cruise in 2025 at the promotional rate of £7995.
What to expect during
Clyde Islands Holiday Cruises...
What makes a Clyde Islands Holiday Cruise so special?

Experience
You don’t need any sailing experience to enjoy your time aboard, nor do you have to get involved with sailing the boat; it can be all about relaxing and watching the world go by...
If you would like to get hands-on, you will be very welcome to learn to steer and trim the sails.
If you already have some experience, there will be opportunities for you to hone your skills.
Perhaps you’re an experienced sailor who wants to introduce family or friends to cruising, ensure they have a great time and want to do it again!

Activities
A new day and we’re sailing to new places - each with its own charm, geology, history and wildlife.
Sailing at our leisure, we plan to visit one of the many distilleries, enjoy lunch ashore, get a taste of the Clyde’s rich history with a visit to a castle from the time of Robert the Bruce.
We usually anchor and take a run ashore with the inflatable tender (for those wanting to explore the remote islands and beaches) but if you’d rather stay onboard to enjoy the peace and quiet, that’s fine too!
In the villages, there will be opportunity to walk to historic sites, distilleries, museums, to hire bikes, play a round of golf and go to local pubs and music venues. On one of the evenings, we will eat ashore at a local restaurant.

Hospitality
You can expect to be well looked after during your time onboard.
The food offering showcases local produce with complimentary Sea Change wine, along with the area’s own special beers and spirits.
Beneteau 45s are well-equipped for catering and this enables us to provide a high standard of hospitality. We carefully pre-plan each week’s menu, taking account of any dietary requirements and work with local suppliers to deliver Bistro-quality food, with all the trimmings.
What really makes all of this special though, is your host Kitty - an experienced sailor and all-round hospitality professional, with a sense of humour to match!

Cruising Grounds
Our cruises are based in the stunning, sheltered waters of the Firth of Clyde - stretching from the fjord-like sea lochs in the north, to the Kintyre peninsula, majestic Ailsa Craig and the rugged coastline of South Ayrshire.
In the safe hands of skipper Dónal and host Kitty, you will have the opportunity to explore some truly delightful places and sample the best of local fare, history and culture.

Wildlife
Whilst specific sightings are never guaranteed, the wildlife within the Clyde area can be spectacular.
Dolphins, porpoises, whales, seals and basking sharks are regularly seen, along with the full gamut of sea birds.

Sailing Conditions
The beauty of a week’s holiday cruising in the Clyde is that we don’t need to commit to death-defying heroics to get to a particular destination within a certain time frame, regardless of the weather.
What this means is that we can plan our route to make the most of the conditions, breaking our trip into lots of short legs to explore the amazing coastline in sheltered waters, even if it’s windy.
Everyone’s welcome to get involved in steering and handling/trimming the sails. If you really want to learn to sail or develop your skills, we have courses for that!

The dining experience onboard draws on our many years' experience in the hospitality industry
We know that the quality of food and drink during a holiday cruise is one of the key elements in everyone's enjoyment of the week, so we go the extra mile to deliver a varied, wholesome, tasty menu.
We are passionate about food and work closely with small, independent, artisan producers - avoiding supermarkets wherever possible!

Food & Drink with Sea Fever Sailing
Once we have the crew list, we prepare the main elements of food in advance, taking account of people's preferences. This approach allows us to maximise our use of the available storage and refrigeration onboard, whilst freeing up some of the time normally required to prep meals from scratch.

Hostess with the Mostess
Your host is on hand to serve meals, snacks and drinks during the day, so you can relax and make the most of your time onboard.
In the evening, you will have the opportunity to sample tasting flights of local beers and spirits or indulge in a cocktail or two!

Time to unwind
One of the reasons we limit numbers to 4 guests plus skipper and host is to ensure that there is plenty of room to relax.
We’re not crammed in and everyone has personal space for that all-important “timeout” that we need on holiday sometimes; to simply kick back and let the world slip gently by.
One of our destinations, Portavadie, has an award winning Spa featuring therapeutic spa treatments, hydro pool, Scandinavian sauna, steam room and a relaxation space, all with breathtaking floor to ceiling views across Loch Fyne to the Isle of Arran.
The itinerary is designed to allow time for everything...

Entertainment...
Fiddle tunes and a few songs
From time to time, Dónal likes to play fiddle tunes and sing a few songs with the guitar; mostly traditional Scots, Irish, and some American folk thrown in for good measure.
Guests are very welcome to play an instrument themselves or sing along.
For those who fancy it, Kitty will do a few tasting flights to allow guests to “compare and contrast” the local whisky, gin and beer offerings.
She's also been known to fling together the odd cocktail, too!
