Terms and Conditions
RYA/NSSA Instructors, NSSA Sailing Masters, RYA Senior Instructors or RYA Coaches do not accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury suffered by persons and / or their property arising out of or during the course of their activities whilst training and / or coaching and/ or instructing unless such injury loss or damage was caused by, or resulted from negligence or deliberate act.
Reservations
Reservations are confirmed when the completed booking form and a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total fee has been received.
Provisional bookings by phone or email will be held for a period of 48 hours pending receipt of the completed booking form and deposit. Upon receipt of your deposit we shall send you a confirmation invoice for the balance and advise you of the date of payment of the same. This date is 8 weeks before the start of the cruise.
Every person making a booking on behalf of a passenger or group of passengers warrants and confirms that he/she has the authority of that passenger and that each such passenger/group agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Payment will be accepted by BACS.
Cancellations
Cancellations: must be notified to us in writing by the person who made the booking.
If you cancel your holiday:
- More than 56 days before the start of your holiday/cruise, only your deposit will be charged.
- Between 56 and 30 days, a charge of 50% of the holiday/cruise cost applies.
- Between 30 and 14 days, 75% of the holiday/cruise cost will be charged.
- If less than 14 days prior to the start of your holiday/cruise, or on or after the cruise has begun, the full holiday/cruise cost must be paid.
Amendments/Cancellation Administration Fee – Sea Fever Sailing reserves the right to charge an administration fee of £30 in respect of any changes made to a booking after receipt of the 30% deposit.
We reserve the right to cancel an event, course, or voyage if the minimum number of participants required has not been reached. In the unlikely event that this occurs, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer you the choice of:
A full refund of any fees you have paid;
A transfer to an alternative date or course of the same value (subject to availability); or
A credit note to be used against a future booking.
Except as set out above, we are not liable for any other costs or losses you may incur as a result of such cancellation, including (but not limited to) travel or accommodation expenses.
Note: We appreciate that wholly unforeseen events may result in cancellation. In view of the above and for your peace of mind, we therefore strongly advise you to take out appropriate comprehensive Accident and Cancellation Insurance at the time of your booking.
Complaints Procedure
Any complaint should, in the first instance, be raised verbally with the Skipper as soon as possible, so that every reasonable effort can be made to resolve the matter promptly and informally.
If the complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, it should then be submitted in writing to the Sea Fever Sailing office. The office will review the matter and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.
If the matter remains unresolved, the complaint should be referred in writing to the Principal, Dónal Boyle, who will investigate it objectively and advise you of the outcome and, where appropriate, any corrective action.
If, after completing Sea Fever Sailing’s internal complaints procedure, you remain dissatisfied, you may refer the matter to the RYA. Please note that the RYA will only consider complaints that relate to RYA training, course delivery, or the conduct of the Skipper or Instructor during the course. The RYA will not consider complaints outside the RYA’s remit.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
