As an experienced RYA Yachtmaster Instructor, Dónal brings a calm, thoughtful approach to teaching — helping you understand how your boat behaves, why she behaves that way, and how to work with her rather than against her. The result is sailing that feels more controlled, more intuitive, and far more enjoyable for everyone on board.

From a focused single day to a multi-day coaching programme, Own Boat Tuition is tailored to the areas that will make the biggest difference to your sailing.
Tuition can begin from marinas across the Firth of Clyde and Argyll coast, giving you the chance to learn in familiar waters and in a setting that feels directly relevant to your own plans afloat.
This is not generic instruction delivered on someone else’s boat. It is practical, personalised coaching on your boat, with your systems, your layout, your handling characteristics and your real-world aims in mind.
